Elaine Washburn

Elaine Washburn, 80, passed away August 16, 2022 in West Jordan, Utah. Born March 10, 1942 in Salt Lake City to Jesse Ordean and Lola Sarah Miller Washburn.

Elaine was an Accredited Genealogist and enjoyed doing Family History work. She was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Elaine served in the California Mission from 1963-1965. She held various callings throughout her life, but thoroughly enjoyed serving in the Vietnamese Branch in Taylorsville, UT. Elaine loved crocheting, cross-stitch and embroidery. She also was an avid gardener. She loved to read, especially about Church history.

Elaine is preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Robert, Gloria Egbert, Lola Deanne Schnebly and Afton Cloward.

She is survived by sister, Ann Woods; 17 nephews and nieces, their spouses and children.

We appreciate the care that has been given to her by Beehive Homes/ All Seasons Senior Living of West Jordan and Active Hospice.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Monroe City Cemetery, 625 North 300 East, Monroe, Utah. A viewing will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 pm at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah.
