Elaine Westover Bevan Frazier

May 24, 1927 — November 5, 2017

Born May 24, 1927 to Delpha & Lawrence Westover. Married Elmer Reed Bevan, October 23, 1948 in Ontario, California. Later sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple. Reed died in February 1979. Elaine grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and graduated from West High School. Later in life, she married Blaine Frazier; he preceded her in death August 2006. Mom was a stay-at-home mom for many years as she was raising her family. When they entered their teen years, she went to work at Rick Warner Ford and then Sears as a PBX Operator. She then worked in the bakery at ZCMI. She was a great leader of young adults and served in many church positions and callings in that capacity. But mom always put her family first. Mom has always loved to dance. She was known for her contagious smile, her laugh and sense of humor. She was an animated story teller. She was very patriotic and taught us to honor and respect the military. Her greatest quality is that she had the ability to make everyone feel very special. Mom has had many great friendships through the years. A special thank you to the owners, nurses and aids at the Beehive Home and the loving care of Brighton Hospice, who expressed loving kindness and dignity through these last weeks of her journey here on earth. Survived by brother Bryan )\(Pat) Westover of Murray; son Brad (Jackie) Bevan of South Jordan; 3 daughters, Patricia (Joe) Lamke of Boise, Brenda (Kendall) Hardman of West Point, and Kathleen (Richard) Carlson of Cedar City; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was an example of love and compassion to each of them. She is preceded in death by parents; husbands; brothers, Jack & Mickey; sister Bette Blue. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 8th, 12:00 noon at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where a viewing will be held Wednesday from 10:30-11:45 a.m. prior to services.
