Eleanor Tracy, ne Breckenridge, passed away on April 7, 2015, in Lake Ridge, Virginia. Eleanor was born on May 17, 1926, in Kingston, Pennsylvania, to George Clyde and Pearl Ann Learn Breckenridge. She faithfully served as a military wife after her marriage to Keith Marvin Tracy, a World War II Veteran of the United States Navy, on June 14, 1947 in Wilmington, Delaware. While sharing her 65 year marriage with Keith before his death on April 8 , 2012, she worked in banking, then served as an executive secretary for the chemical and munitions manufacturing company Hercules, Inc. until her retirement. She lived in West Valley City, Utah, for 40 years before moving to the Westminster Retirement Village in Lake Ridge, Virginia. She was an award winning quilter beloved for her mastery of hand applique and was loved by many who she met while sharing and teaching the quilting arts. Eleanor is survived by her daughters Cathy Louise King and Charlotte Lee Tracy Souders.; her sister Elva Taber and her family; the family of deceased sister Doris Pettibone; and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including Stephanie Arwen Souders and Matthew Brian Souders, children of her daughter Charlotte and son-in-law, Robert M. Souders. She was preceded in death by her brother, George Clyde Breckenridge, Jr., who died during WWII, her sister Doris, her mother and father, and her son Keith Marvin, Jr. The family would like to extend special thanks to the giving friends who devoted time, energy, and a loving heart while she lived in West Valley City and to the Westminster @ Lake Ridge Retirement Center who offered a beautiful and professionally safe environment from October 15, 2012 until her peaceful death.
