Elisabeth Silvia Rueckert Potter 1926 ~ 2013 Elisabeth Silvia Rueckert Potter, age 86 died July 11, 2013. She was born July 14, 1926 to John Adam Rueckert and Elisabeth Schlerf Rueckert in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married Ronald Jay Potter February 28, 1946 in the Cannon Ward church and was later solemnized in the Jordan River Temple. He preceded her in death in 1992. Elisabeth was an active member of the Kearns 16th Ward and served in several church callings. She served in the Jordan River Temple, doing sealings. Mom loved doing crafts and made many quilts and Afghans for her children and grandchildren. She loved working in her yard and had many beautiful flowers. She loved fishing and camping with her family. Survived by 3 sons: Jerry J., John L. (Shirley), Jeff R. (Betty); 8 grandchildren, 17 great- grandchildren; Mrs. Richard Rueckert and Mrs. Albert Ruechert, sister-in-law. Preceded in death by husband Jay, father & mother, 10 brothers; two sisters & daughter-in-law, Karla. Special appreciation to Susan, Karen, Connie and the Staff of West Side Community Nursing Center for the outstanding love and care and respect they gave our mother. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2013 11:00 a.m. at the Kearns 16th Ward 4731 South 4300 West. A viewing will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2013, 6-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Wednesday at the church 10:10:45 a.m. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park. Hobbies:Crafts, making afghans and quilts, gardening, fishing, camping; being with family and friendsOccupation:Homemaker
