Elly Katherin Paul Back with Leo Elly Katherin Simonsen Paul, age 90, passed away on February 21, 2013. Born October 14, 1922 in Ogden Utah to Simon and Karoline Kristiansen Lang Simonsen. Married John Leo Paul, Jr. On November 21, 1945. She loved to knit, crochet, cross-stitch, make afghans, listen to music and was an accomplished singer and loved to play the piano. She was in several community plays. Was a member of the LDS Church serving in many ward and stake callings. Always supported her family in whatever they did. She loved her family, they were always her priority. Survived by her children: Ellen (Bob) Jackson, John (Jeanette) Paul, Fred (Gail) Paul, Caroline (Kent) Shields, Kim (Jeanette) Paul, James (Alyce) Paul, Von (Mercedes) Paul, daughter-in-law, Balbina Paul; 27 grandchildren and 64 great-grandchildren; sister-in-laws, Adrele Grunig, Jeannette Gailey. Preceded in death by husband, John Leo Paul; parents and brothers and sisters. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Utah for all their loving care. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 26, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at the Hunter 5th Ward, 5065 West Janette Avenue (3890 South). Viewings will be Monday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Tuesday at the church from 10-10:45 a.m. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
