Elmer Winrow passed away on October 12 , 2018, at 7:00 p.mseven out, skinny doogan! After smoking for 75 years it finally got him, even if they didn't have filters. He was born August 8, 1932 in Elko, NV to Rufus and Anna Winrow.He was number seven out of ten kids; preceded in death by Jim, Helen, Henrietta, Bill, Emily, Dorothy, Arlo, and Eleanor, and daughters Vickie Winrow and Karla Winrow. Survived by little sister, Nona (Chuck) Potter. He spent most of his summers as a young boy working the hay fields in Deeth Star Valley, NV with family trips to Jarbidge, NV over the July 4 th holiday. He married Dorothy (Dottie) Reed on July 16, 1966. Together they raised eight children, Linda Winrow, Don (Jacquie) Winrow, Mike (Lori) Winrow, Kathy (Jack) Petersen, Connie Edmund, Joe (Cindy) Winrow, and child number nine, Lee (Julie) Winrow, a nephew. He adored his 19 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great- grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and dear friends. His words to mom, "I can't die yet, I have things to do." She would ask, "Babe, what?" He would go into one of his deep thinking moments and never answer. His "to-do" list will remain a mystery. Viewing to be held on Friday evening, October 19th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. On Saturday, October 20th viewing from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., followed by the funeral at 11:00 a.m., McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, UT 84123.
