ElRey J. Jeppson 1939 ~ 2011 ElRey James Jeppson, born December 6, 1939, passed away December 7, 2011 surrounded by his family he loved so much. In life he had an entrepreneurial spirit that always kept him seeking new opportunities and loved serving his community. He was always the jokester wanting to make people laugh. He loved his family more than anything and consistently worked at showing it with gifts, attending recitals and performances, throwing parties and giving out hugs and kisses with the occasional tickle. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in several capacities, from a stalwart home teacher to serving in the bishopric. He was a US Army veteran. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Lenora Kathleen Faust; children: Kayleen (James) Johnson, Janalea Jeppson, Jerry (Meg) Jeppson, Rebecca (Doug) Campbell, Noraleen Jeppson, Ruth (Nathan) Whittacre, ElRey (Mindi) Jeppson, Jacob Jeppson; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; sons, Bryan and Leon; grandchildren, Corey and Ashley. He will be sorely missed but we find comfort knowing he was welcomed home by his sons, parents and Savior, Jesus Christ. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 12, 2011, 11:00 a.m. at the Mountain View 6th Ward, 8435 South 2700 West where a viewing will be held, 10-10:45 prior to services.
