On February 3, 2017, Elton Duane "Red" Tischner left this life at the age of 89, to join his beloved wife Lorraine Alice Mounteer. "Red" was born on February 2, 1928, in Murray, Utah. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. His sweetheart Lorraine waited for his return and they were wed on July 29, 1948. The couple spent most of their life together in their home in Kearns. He worked for Kennecott as an electrician for 42 years and was proud of the work he did. He taught his family to take pride in their work as well. He loved to camp, fish and spend time with his friends and family. Red loved his family, his daughters and grandchildren. He brought joy to all those he came in contact with. His quick wit and joking personality is a family trait that we all loved and enjoyed. His three daughters are proud to say "We will miss you Daddy!". He is survived by his three daughters, Laurie (Chip) Stanton, Robin (Bill) West and Kelcey (Jesse) Greathouse; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; siblings Ila (Roy) Peterson and Jay (Wilda) Tischner. The family wishes to thank Cheryl Council for all the tender care that she provided to Dad these final two years.
