Emily Marie Mast, left us suddenly and too soon on January 5, 2016 after a brief illness. She was born on February 2, 1982 to Shane Clare Mast and Lori Marie Latsis Mast in Salt Lake City, UT. Emily moved with her family to California in 1990 where she lived throughout her childhood and adolescence. She graduated from Pasadena High School as Salutatorian with a 4.0 GPA. She attended classes at Pasadena City College before moving back to Utah in 2005. She moved to live at her Aunt Jill and Uncle James' house in Riverton, UT. Emily loved her schnauzer Larry, and all animals. She had a soft spot in her heart, especially for dogs. She always made Larry a birthday cake every year and held a dog party at the park. She gave ongoing donations to the ASPCA. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local animal shelter, which is what Emily would have wanted. She was funny, witty, and intelligent. She enjoyed playing World of Warcraft online where she had many friends. There she also met the love of her life Andrew Ford, to whom she was engaged to be married. She was very into Science Fiction/Fantasy entertainment. She enjoyed camping at Fish Lake with her family. It was very important to Emily to be an organ donor, so the family donated her eyes to The Utah Lion's Eye Bank, where her eyes will be used for research at the University of Utah. She left this world way too soon and will be loved and missed by all. May the force be with you, always'. We can't smile without you'. Emily is survived by her Fiance Andrew Ford, her dog Larry, Father Shane Mast, Step-Mom Sabrina Mast, Mother Lori Ross-Pasquale, Step-Dad Sean Pasquale, Grand-Parents Lawrence and Ione Latsis, Sister Andrea Akazaki, Brother-in law Scott Akazaki, Aunt Jill, Uncle Ron, Uncle Dave, Aunt Kelly Ann, their spouses, several cousins, and her new and only niece baby Charlotte.
