Enrica Magtahas Avila (1936-2022)
Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and Friend passed away on December 28,2022 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She is survived by her husband Benjamin Avila and her children: Joel (wife Jocelyn), Amabel (husband Joseph) and Teresa (husband Jonathan) and her grandchildren: Kobe and Joseph Benjamin. She also had another child (firstborn) who passed away at three months old named Benjamin, Jr.
Daughter of Tereso Magtahas and Apolonia Asunto born on July 14,1936 in Inopacan, Leyte, Philippines. She grew up with eight siblings: Gregorio, Sofronio, Jesus, Artemio, Epifania, Fortunato, Rufino and Bonifacio. She was the fifth child.
Enrica was married to Benjamin Adobas Avila of Maasin, Southern Leyte on May 21, 1970 in Inopacan, Leyte and sealed for time and all eternity at Manila Philippines Temple in Manila, Philippines on June 3,2004.
A full-time housewife and a mother of three, Enrica spent hours, days and years teaching, training, counseling, uplifting and caring for her family and showing her children the ways of life and teaching them great skills to become masters of self-sufficiency, responsibility, love and learning.
She was also a good wife to her eternal companion, Benjamin who loved her very much and made sure that he was a good man and supportive to their children and assisted him in raising them to become successful in life.
Born before WWII, experienced the Great Depression in the Orient and beheld the advancement of technology of the modern world which was overwhelming in her nature.
"Lived a good eighty-six years of her life on earth". It's her time to return home to Our Own Maker.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 6, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Hillsdale Park Ward, 3276 South 2760 West.
A viewing will be held from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services.
Interment, Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah
