Erma Bernice Holt Petty Granny Erma Bernice Holt Petty passed away at home November 15, 2012 of causes incident to age. Erma was born October 21, 1925 to Della Loretta Strasburg and John Moroni Holt in Tooele, Utah. She married John Bernard in 1943 and was later divorced. She married Walter George Petty June 18, 1947. She had three daughters, Sue, Pam and Peggy. She was employed as a forklift driver at Tooele Ordinance Depot where she also chauffeured the base Colonel. She worked many years at Hercules Inc. in the Records Department. Erma loved dolls! She made beautiful porcelain dolls and ceramics. She also taught ceramics classes in her home. A talented seamstress, she sewed delightful dresses for her daughters and clothing for their dolls as well. A wonderful cook, everyone loved her Christmas Eve Feasts, especially her scrumptious, family-recipe turkey stuffing. She and Grandpa loved the mountains and spent many hours around the campfire with the children, grandchildren and Big George enjoying their mountain near Duchesne. Erma was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and four sisters, her husband Walt and grandson Todd Yeates. She is survived by her three daughters, Sue Wood, Pam (Bruce) Yeates and Peggy (Randy) Park, 12 grand children and 39 great grand children. Funeral service will be held Tuesday November 20, 2012 at 12 noon at McDougal Funeral Home 4330 South Redwood Road Taylorsville, Utah. Viewing one hour prior to service.
