Ernest Wayne Reno

On January 23rd, this beloved man peacefully left our world, but never our hearts. Dad was born in Oklahoma, grew up in California, and moved to Utah in 1968. With his first wife Lillian he had three children, later divorced and in 1987 he married the love of his life, Vickie. In his younger years Dad loved to take to the sky - first with flying lessons and later with hang gliding. He also had a passion for classic cars; meticulously restoring a 1959 Austin-Healey which he loved to bring to car shows and take for long drives. He loved fishing and boating, and took us kids on many fun camping trips. Dad always set a great example for us with his love for family, his integrity, and strong work ethic. Served in the USAF Reserves 1955-1963, honorably discharged. His legacy will continue through organ donation, and in the hearts of his family. He will be so missed! Survived by his loving family: wife Vickie; brother Bill (Sue) Reno; sister Karen; daughters Mimi (Dennis) Jackson and Susan Hymas; stepchildren Cory and Tracy; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and his devoted poodle Bo. Preceded in death by parents; son Ernie; and grandson Eric. A celebration of his life will be held on February 10th at 3:00 PM, 1773 Teakwood Dr. in Sandy Ut.
