November 24, 1927 — November 20, 2016

Salt Lake City Esther Louise Anderson Kimball died Sunday, November 20, 2016. She was born November 24, 1927 to Owen and Bessie Anderson in Bountiful, Utah. Esther moved with her family at age eleven to Palmyra, New York when her parents became caretakers of the Hill Cumorah farm for the LDS Church. Her senior year, Esther was crowned Rose Queen (Miss Palmyra). As a teenager, Elden Kimball pulled her name out of a hat to become pen pals. As the World War came to an end, Elden took a military flight to Buffalo, NY and hitchhiked to Palmyra where he proposed to Esther after years of correspondence. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple. Esther expressed love through service to family, friends, and church. As a testament of her industry and talent, all of her descendants have slept under her hand-made quilts. Esther is survived by Lynda (Dave) Richards, Dan (Pam) Kimball, John Kimball, Stacey Larsen, Tom (Page) Kimball; and many grand and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her Husband Elden Clifford Kimball; sons, James O. Kimball, E. Glenn (Rosa) Kimball; and daughter Mary Ann (Bob) Trate.
