Our angel mother, grandmother, aunt and friend Ethelane Talbot Lewis passed away peacefully at her home on November 11, 2017 surrounded by her family after a very short battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and pneumonia. Ethelane was born on January 23, 1939 in Panguitch, Utah, the fourth child of Alton H. and Leona Elizabeth Excell Talbot. Ethelane grew up with her three sisters Evelyn, Reva and Melba in Panguitch where she attended elementary and high school. She was a cheer leader and baton twirler in high school where she excelled in oratory and was editor of the Panguitch High School yearbook in 1957. She enjoyed spending time at Panguitch Lake and Sand Wash. She also loved spending time with her cousins and especially enjoyed the annual Excell Family Reunion. She met the love of her life, Waldo A. Lewis, from Circleville, Utah during her high school years and they were married for time and all eternity on September 26, 1958 in the Salt Lake Temple. She is preceded in death by her loving husband and sweetheart Waldo on August 18, 2013 as well as her parents and her sisters. Mom and Dad moved to Salt Lake City where she attended Stevens Henager College. They were blessed with four children, all of whom survive her: Ron (Sylvia) Lewis of Bountiful, Utah; Don (Shirley) Lewis of Bountiful, Utah; Lynanne (Don) Stephenson of West Valley City, Utah and Stephanie (Matt) Evans of St. George, Utah. Mom and Dad were so proud of their 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Family meant everything to mom and she looked forward to time spent with family. Mom loved her Heavenly Father and served in many positions in the church from den leader to the General Primary Board but one of her most cherished was serving with dad on a service mission to the Cambodian Branch in their stake where they grew to love the Cambodian people. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Intermountain Medical Center Emergency Department (RN Tyler) & Medical Telemetry floor (RNs Jay, Deanne, Becky and Dannavin, CNAs Kelsey, Julie and Brian) for their loving care of our mom and grandmother. We also want to thank Intermountain Homecare & Hospice for all their support during mom's brief time in their care (RNs Ashley, Lacey and Natalie).
