Doreene Bailey Parker 1938 ~ 2012 Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Eva Doreene Bailey Parker, age 73, passed away June 16, 2012 following a courageous battle with cancer. Born October 12, 1938 in Vernal, Utah, daughter of S.C. Tex and Eva Smith Dorman. Doreene grew up on a ranch in McKinnon, Wyoming and moved to Rock Springs in 1948 where she graduated from Rock Springs High School. She met and married Michael J. Bailey in 1970 and together they raised three children. He preceded her in death in November of 2007. She was an avid supporter of University of Utah Athletics, a Crimson Club Member as well as on the Board of Directors. She retired from Blue Cross after 27 years of dedicated service. As an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in many callings as well as in the Jordan River Temple, where she met and eventually married Darrel Lee Parker on April 3, 2010. She is survived by her husband, Darrel; children: Tom (Ann) Bailey, Crystal Maddox, Garrett Bailey, Kyle (Sondra) Parker, Susan (Collin) Townsend, Stephanie (Rick) Farnsworth, Michele Parker; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Gail Dorman (Carol). Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Michael Bailey; grandson, Justin Lee Bailey; and brother, Clifford Dorman. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 20th, 11:00 a.m. at the Hunter 5th Ward, 5065 W. Janette Avenue (3890 South). Viewings will be held Tuesday, June 19th, 6 - 8 pm at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and Wednesday at the church, 10 - 10:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
