Eva Joan Lietz

Eva Joan Westerman Lietz passed away March 6, 2014 in Taylorsville, Utah. I was born June 7, 1934 in Panguitch, Utah to Jonathan Newell Westerman and Eva May Kinder. We moved to Chesterfield, Utah and later to Sugar House. I went to Forest Elementary, Irving Junior High, and South High School. When I was 15, I worked at LDS Hospital as a nurses aide. I married Paul Penrose Lietz March 4, 1954 in Salt Lake City, Utah and later sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple February 7, 1996. We traveled around the world in the Army for 20 years. Survived by children: Joannie (Ron) Lyman, Pauline (Kurt) Heaton, Fern Lynn (Vance) Dent, Bert (Mistie) Lietz, Paul Penrose (Sakhann) Lietz, Jr., Eva May (Benee Quibell) Lietz, Jacqueline (Richard) Palmer; 14 grandkids: TeKoi (Annie) Dent, Eric (Melissa) Dent, Steven (Brittany) Dent, Marcia (Kody) Potter, Amy (Hans) Stokes, Krista Heaton, Misty (Matt) Weist, Ryan Heaton, Chanelle Quibell, Dee Dee Palmer, Destiny Crowther, Alice (Landon) Teasdale, Robbie (Ashley) Crowther, and Amber Lietz; 18 great-grandkids: Gracie and Austin (Crowther), Talmage, Kimball, Kaitlyn and Andrew (Dent), Cole (Crowther), Kennzie, Brysen, Mason (Teasdale), Aspen and Ty (Dent), Carson, Tanner, Paxton (Dent), Rylee and Saige (Weist), and Emma (Potter); step-granddaughters, London (Jegar) VanKoman and Dawn (Kevin) Mangum; step great-grandkids, Suede VanKoman, Abigail and Kayden; sister, Barbara (Milt) Carlson; and brother, Robert (Gretta) Westerman. Preceded in death by parents; husband; and brother, Jackie Westerman. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 15, 2:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where visitations will be held Friday, March 14, 6-8 pm and Saturday, March 15, 1-1:45 pm.
