Eva Trimmer Eastwood Together Again Eva Trimmer Eastwood passed away peaceably on June 28, 2012. She was born February 1, 1923 to goodly parents, Clayton Ellsworth Trimmer and Ida Teressa Lowder. She had one sister; May Trimmer Rogers. She was born and raised in Parowan, Iron County, Utah. She attended Iron County schools and after High School she lived in St. George, Utah working as an aide in the St. George Hospital. She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting and made many beautiful dollies and tablecloths. She married her husband, Grant Thornton Eastwood on May 8, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple. They were married for 65 wonderful years. They were the parents of one daughter, Kathleen. Eva was a lifetime member of the ladies auxiliary in the present day Mormon Battalion. She served faithfully in the Primary organization and the MIA. She served as a Visiting Teacher for many years. She faithfully stood at the side of her husband Grant as he served as Bishop of the Hunter 3rd Ward and as Stake Patriarch of the Salt Lake Hunter Stake. She was very proud to be a member of the Utah Mayflower Society. Eva is preceded in death by her parents, Clayton and Teressa and her sister May Rogers. Her husband Grant preceded her in death on May 26th, 2011. Survived by her daughter, Kathleen Eastwood. She has many loving nieces and nephews and extended relatives. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 3, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Church, 3970 S. 5200 W. With a viewing Monday 6-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Tuesday, 10-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to funeral services. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
