Colleen Jolley Waters passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 15, 2020, surrounded by loved ones.
She was born April 10, 1941 to Leland and Rhea Jolley. She was sealed to Melvin C Waters on May 3, 1961 in the Salt Lake Temple and together they had five children.
Colleen loved to square dance, collect bells from around the world, and travel the country in the family motor home. She loved animals and almost always had one of her beloved dogs in her arms.
She loved going to plays with family and friends at Hale Center Theater, Tuacahn, and Desert Star Playhouse. She loved to quilt, sew and craft. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the lucky recipients of her handmade receiving blankets, baby burp cloths and quilts. In the last months of her life she spent many hours making beautiful quilts for each of her children and personalized baptism towels for her great-grandchildren.
Colleen loved to attend the temple, especially in her later years. She enjoyed going on temple tours with family and friends. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She spent many years selflessly taking care of her parents and her husband in their declining years.
She is so incredibly loved and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by Steve (Kelli), Mike (Valerie), Jeff (Paula), Sherrie (Dave) Hoffman, David (Cindy); 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Karen (Gene) Molyneux, Deanne (Hal) Hansen, and Diane (Golden) Adams.
Preceded in death by her husband; and parents.
A private family service will be held on Friday, August 21, 2020. The viewing will be live-streamed and can be accessed here: https://vimeo.com/event/
