Fae M. Mellor

December 4, 1921 — February 6, 2018

Fae Mellor, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother passed away peacefully on February 6, 2018 with family by her side at the age of 96 years old. Fae was born December 4, 1921, the first of 5 children born into the family of Guy and Fern Larsen Mellor. Fae fell in love and married Lynn Mellor on September 6, 1939 in the Manti Temple. They had 10 wonderful children. Fae was a devoted mother and wife. She devoted her life to serving her family and the LDS church. Beloved Lynn Mellor passed away on October 23, 1990 after 50 happy years of marriage. Fae enjoyed cooking, canning, baking, sewing, gardening and any opportunity she could find to serve her loved ones. The family looked forward to special occasions including family reunions, Christmas Eve celebrations, and family campouts. Fae was proud of her more than 300 descendants and loved each and every one. In 2003 Fae married Henry Atkinson and they enjoyed 3 and a half years of marriage. All of Fae's posterity quickly came to love and appreciate Henry as his heart was open to each and every one of us. Preceded in death by her parents Guy and Fern; 3 children, Galynn (6 weeks old), William Guy (9 months) and Joann Felix (69); son-in-lawVirgil Hammond; and by 3 siblings Melvin Mellor, Lorena Hone, and Carl Mellor. Survived by 7 children, Elinor and Wayne Unsworth, Harold and Linda Mellor, Gordon Felix (son-in-law), Douglas and Ranae Mellor, Flora Hammond, Kerry and Claudia Mellor, Vickee and Sam Barker and Sandra Pacifico; and by her sister Pearl Middleton. Fae's family would like to express deep gratitude for the loving care from Dignity Hospice, Pheasant Run Alzheimer's Special Care Center and at Olympus Ranch. We witnessed so much love, compassion and kindness for Fae and her family.
