Faye Petersen Royer

October 14, 1946 — April 2, 2015

Faye Petersen Royer returned to her Father in Heaven after completing her mortal life on April 2nd 2015. She was born in Granger, Utah, to Calvin Nelson Petersen and Elizabeth Lambert Petersen on Oct. 14th , 1916. She was married to Fred W. Royer on Nov. 8th, 1944, which was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She graduated from Cyprus High School and attended LDS Business College. She was a student of music and drama, having studied for many years under Grace Nixon Stewart and Norma Pederson Beck. She shared her talent with many for forty years through her Easter and Christmas programs. She was employed for 29 years in the law office of George L. Nelson as his Administrative Assistant. Faye's life was centered around service and love for family and Church. She had many callings in the church, touching many lives old and young with her faith and belief in Christ. She loved yard work and the pleasure the beautiful flowers brought her. She loved the Jazz. She always knew when they were playing, remaining a fan till the end. She is survived by daughters Vicki Leigh Jensen (Steven), Michelle Rogers (Wayne), Kathleen Lunak (Mike), brothers Darrell Peterson (Virginia), Reed Peterson (Olive), nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Fred W Royer and daughter Vallerie Funeral services will be held Tuesday April 7th. 2015, 11:00am at the West Valley 2nd Ward, 2850 W 3835 So. A viewing will be Monday April 6th 2015, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 So. Redwood Road and Tuesday at the church. 10-10:45a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 W 4100 So. In lieu of flowers Faye requested that donations be made to your favorite charity or the missionary fund . We would like to thank all the wonderful people who cared for Faye in her home from Millcreek Care Center, for their kindness and compassion.
