Ferris Rae Norman 1924 ~ 2012 Ferris Rae Allred Norman was born 15 February 1924 to Samuel Bert and Myrtle Livingston Allred in Spring City, Utah. She was raised in a small town atmosphere full of love, fun, hard work and challenges. She married Ted Elwood Norman 18 August 1941 in Preston, Idaho. They were sealed in the Jordan River Temple 15 November 1997. She retired in 1981 from Valley Bank & Trust, one of the first women Bank Officers. Her greatest joys came in those precious moments with family and friends and her deepest regrets came when family and friends were not around. She passed away 27 December 2012 in Heber City, Utah after a very short battle with cancer. She was active, alert, and doing for herself right up to the end. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints attending each Sunday. She is survived by two children, Dennis Ted Norman (Susan) and Virginia Rae Corry; 10 grandchildren: Denise Marie Jessen (Shayne), Cyndie Ann Nell (Ryan), Susan Vivian, Daniel Andrew Norman (Tammy), Debie Rae VanAlstyne, Jason H. Corry (Becky), Andrew Ted Corry (MaryJean), Rebecca Rae Goode (Chris), Taylor Gary Corry (Elizabeth), and Austin Gary Corry (Amy); and also cared about 25 precious great grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years; her parents; all of her siblings; son-in-law Gary H. Corry; and special friend Helen King. The family would like to express their deep appreciation to the EMT s, hospital staff, and Dr. Gregory Tayler all from Heber Valley for their kind care, sympathy, and compassion for someone that has been so dear to us and was in so much pain. Also the quick response for hospice care to be started that her final days could be made as comfortable as possible. We could never repay you for all you have done to help us when we were helpless. Funeral services will be held Monday, 31 December 2012, 11:00 a.m. at the Bennion 2nd Ward, 6100 South Kamas Drive where a viewing will be held Monday 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to services.
