Frank Charles Kolar, age 97, passed away August 24, 2016 in Murray, Utah. Born to Frank and Martha Genevieve Albright Kolar on January 23, 1919 in Los Angeles, CA. Married Frances Rouse Jan. 16, 1945. Frances preceded him in death in 2002. A proud WWII veteran serving in the Merchant Marines; Frank enjoyed traveling, reading, the Colorado Rockies and pie. He was a member of a weekly bowling league until the age of 96 and remained active and engaging up to his passing. Survived by two daughters, Susan (Lynn) DeVore; Jill Bilanzich; six grandchildren, Michael (Julia) DeVore; David (Jennie) DeVore; G. Brandon (Meg) Bilanzich; James DeVore & Angie Hill; Genevieve (Keith) Stearns; Brookes (Robert) Pitt; 11 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. An ever-constant role model of quiet determination, fortitude and continual self-improvement; he will be greatly missed. Graveside services will be held Monday, August 29th, 1:30 p.m., at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South.
