Frank Donald Elsasser 1947-2015 Frank Donald Elsasser our loving husband, father, grandpa, uncle and friend peacefully passed away at home on August 21, 2015. Frank was born in Salt Lake City on June 21,1947, but spent much of his youth in Virginia. He attended Brigham Young University where he met his wife, Lola. They were sealed in the Oakland Temple on March 18, 1971. After attending BYU, he attended Wichita State University where his 40-year career as a physical therapist began. He loved his family and supported them in all they did whether it be dance, baseball, basketball, hobbies, school, or missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints. He was a dedicated physical therapist who truly cared for his patients. In college he began studying Kenpo karate, where he excelled and eventually became a 10th degree black belt. He loved hunting, fishing, and camping with his family and friends. He also enjoyed the many Harley motorcycles he had throughout the years and the trips he took with his wife, friends, and family. Frank enjoyed life, had a great sense of humor and remained positive until the end. Frank is preceded in death by his parents Frank Henry Elsasser and Alfa Mae Seely and his older sister M. Janet Elsasser. He is survived by his wife Lola, his daughter Jennifer, his sons Jake (Tracie), Rocky (Whitney), and Lance (Heidi), his grandchildren Zachary, Rex, Megan, Maddie, Marley, Brayden, Berkley, Dillon, Rance, and Josie, his younger sister Fran Stewart and many extended family members. We would like to thank Brighton Home Health and Hospice for the excellent care they provided. A special thanks to Lori, Mikey, and Court. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 25 at the Valley Park 6th Ward Chapel, 5233 South 3200 West, Taylorsville, Utah at 11:00am. The family will receive friends and guests Monday, August 24 from 6:00-7:30pm. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah. There is no viewing at church on Tuesday. Interment at Riverton City Cemetery.
