Frank Joseph Elwart was born on September, 3 1939, the son of Frank and Josephine Elwart in Chicago Illinois. At the age of 81 he passed away peacefully at home in Taylorsville, Utah with his loving wife, Robin Elwart, by his side.
Frank grew up in Chicago Illinois. He was the oldest son with 2 siblings, brother Dennis Elwart (deceased) and sister Barbara Bisdrow (deceased). He had 3 children, Richard Elwart (deceased), Jeffrey Elwart and Anne Elwart. He also left behind 3 grand children, Jennifer Tavake, Jeffrey Elwart Jr. and Justin Elwart and 3 great grand children, Titali Tavake, Nakoa Tavake and Kaelo Tavake.
Frank worked as a paper cutter in the printing trade for over 45 years until he retired. He enjoyed sports and spending time with his family and friends. He really enjoyed bowling, playing softball and volleyball. He loved going to the minor league hockey and baseball games. Some of his past things he enjoyed was watching and going to wrestling and roller derby when he lived in California.
Even when working 2 jobs to support his family, he always made sure to take his family on a nice vacation. Some of the places he liked to go was to a Dude Ranch and the Wisconsin Dells. Later in life he still enjoyed his vacations. He enjoyed going to Hawaii, Wendover, Wyoming, Crusies and a good Buffet.
Because church was a central part of his life, Frank actively participated in his church, Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church. In his previous church in California he even dressed up as Santa Claus for the children. He was always surrounded by family and friends whom he truly loved and loved him deeply. He was always making an impression on people and trying to make them laugh.
Frank was important to all of us and will truly be missed!
