Frank Francisco Medel

Frank Francisco Medel, 82 passed away March 2, 2017. He was born in Woods Cross Utah on September 21, 1934 to Jose and Grace (Yara) Medel. He was the second oldest of 5. He was a traveler in life, and experienced many great adventures. He was a life long railroad worker where he made many long time friends and retired from Union Pacific in 1996. Frank loved the outdoors. As a family we enjoy many wonderful memories fishing, hunting, and camping together. His later years he enjoyed gardening, reading western novels in his lawn chair getting a tan, and spending time with his grandkids. Frank married twice. First wife Marie Elenes, divorced, and second wife Jeanine Jacketta Goodrich, also divorced. He was a father figure and friend to many step children, adopted children, and three biological children, numerous grandchildren, and countless nieces and nephews. Frank is survived by his ex wife Jeanine Goodrich, Children John Medel, Donna Medel, and Nicholas Medel (Katharine). Siblings Joe Medel Jr., Coby Medel Amador, and Margaret Medel Inger, Grandchildren Frank Medel III (Ashley), Trevor Medel, Ayden Medel, and Sierra Medel. He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife Marie Elenes, son Frank Medel Jr. and sister Marina Medel. An informal Memorial gathering will be held in his honor at McDougal Funeral Home on March 7, 2017 at 7pm. No grave side service at this time.
