Frank "Ray" Green graduated from this life on September 27, 2023. He was born on March 5, 1938, to Edward Lavar Green and Annie June Atkinson. He was the second of 5 children. He graduated from North Emery High School and then attended Brigham Young University where he met his loving wife, Lynda Harmon.
They met during a water fight that Ray was participating in with one of Lynda's roommates and other BYU students. He was carrying a bucket of water meant for her roommate, but Lynda answered the door instead and was quickly drenched. Feeling bad for getting her wet, he asked if he could make it up to her by taking her out to get something to eat. With a little persuasion, Lynda decided to accept his offer. After a few years of dating, and three times of her returning the ring, they decided to get married and later had 4 children.
Ray was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and held many callings in the church, including Bishop, a member of the High Counsel, Service Missionary, and many others. He also served a mission back when a few states were combined into one mission, which they called the Western States Mission. Later on, as a couple, Ray and Lynda served diligently in the Jordan River Temple for 35 years, and 6 other service missions.
Ray worked hard to support his family throughout the years. Even though he didn't have a lot of time to be with his family, he still could be seen teaching his children how to use tools to build or fix things, or video recording their many performances and silly plays that they would create. In the summertime, he also loved to go out and barbeque for family and friends. In his later years, he enjoyed going to institute class and painting classes with Lynda. Ray also loved to travel, and enjoyed visiting many different places with his wife, but their cabin was their favorite; it was their sanctuary. Ray had many physical problems in his life, but he "endured to the end". He will be missed by all those who were privileged to know and love him.
He is survived by his wife Lynda Green, children Heidi Harris (Jonathan), Dale Green (Michelle), Emily Cottam (Michael), and Jerron Green (Karen): 13 grandchildren: Samantha (Eric), Jana, Rachael, Luke, Jacob, Sierra, Sarah, Caleb, Caitlin, Kendra, Timothy, Austin and Philip; 1 Great grandson: William; and his siblings: Eva Jenson (Marlin), Mike Green (Sandra), brother-in-law Don Horrocks, and sister-in-law Carolee. He is preceded in death by his parents Lavar and June, brother Jack, and sister Jean.
