Fred Wells

Fredrick John Wells born on April 8, 1952, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2021 with his family by his side. He worked at Kennecott Smelter for 30 years. Fred grew up in West Valley City and attended Granite High School.

He married the love of his life, Rebecca Lee on July 14, 1978 in the Salt Lake Temple. Fred and Rebecca raised their children in West Valley City. Together they had 6 children. Fred enjoyed camping and spending time with family. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had several callings.

Fred is survived by his wife Rebecca Lee Wells; children, Amanda Grace (Jeremy) Zumwalt, Joshua Lee Wells, James Allan Wells, Shaylee Wells; siblings, Anna May Mills, Stanley LeRoy “Roy” (Carol) Wells, Marinus Jay (JoNell) Wells, Ruth Ann Michaelson, Grant Wells, and Annette Wells.

Preceded in death by parents Stanley LeRoy Wells and Fay Anna Wells; and daughters Angela and Lena Wells.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 25, 2021, 2:00 p.m. at Taylorsville 25^th Ward, 4505 South Brians Way, West Valley City, Utah. Viewings will be held Friday, September 24^th, 6-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and Saturday prior to services at the church from 1-1:45 p.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
