Gary Bascomb

On December 21, 2024, Gary Dean Bascomb passed away in Salt Lake City with his wife and the love of his life, Patricia, by his side.

During his formative years, Gary was a great athlete, excelling in baseball, football, and wrestling, and he stood out in all his extracurricular activities during his school years.

Gary was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving his country during the Vietnam War. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family while offering acceptance, compassion, love, and forgiveness in abundance. His unconditional love and willingness to sacrifice for those around him were unmatched.

His uncanny ability to know when someone needed a laugh, a hug, or a kick in the ass was truly remarkable.

Gary is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patricia Bascomb; his children, Stacy, Aaron, Charlotte Leeann, Allen, and Andrew; and his 10 grandchildren, who meant the world to him. He guided them through good times and bad and was the rock they all knew they could turn to.
