Our beloved Dad, Grandpa and Great-Grandpa Gary Elwood Parker, 91, passed away on March 5, 2023 surrounded by loved ones.
Gary was born on September 26, 1931 in Burley Idaho to Elwood and LaRene Parker.
Gary married the love of his life Audrey Faye Flanagan on January 30, 1951 in Billings Montana. The couple went on to have four beautiful children - Pam, Wayne, Tod and April.
Gary loved spending time outdoors whether he was gardening, golfing, hiking or riding horses. If Gary were not outside, you would be able to find him in his chair reading a new book, doing a crossword puzzle or in the garage with a new woodworking piece. Family memories of Gary will remain strong around the dinner table enjoying dessert, as Gary's requirement of a meal was always a dessert after lunch and dinner.
Gary served our country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War from 1951 - 1955 and was honorability discharged on March 3, 1955. Not only did Gary serve our country, but he also served our Heavenly Father. Gary and his wife were dedicated members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed teaching and serving the Lord through their mission in Colorado and countless LDS callings.
Gary is survived by his children Wayne (Debbie) Parker, Tod (Kippy) Parker and April (Clayne) White, his sister, JoAnne Illingworth, 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Gary is preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Faye Parker, daughter, Pamela Ray and brother, Dean Parker.
Gary will be laid to rest and peacefully rejoin his wife, Audrey, at the Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver Colorado.
