Gay Seastrand

Gay Fanny Moesser Seastrand was born April 5, 1929, in Granger, Utah, to Phyllis Katherine Harman and Jesse Fredrick Marlow Moesser. She lived within five miles of her childhood home her entire life. On Sept. 25, 1954, she married Richard Chipman Seastrand, who was her light. They had two children, Rick and Brett. She was employed as a surgical tech by Saint Mark's Hospital. Gay passed away peacefully at home, June 29, 2017, with her family surrounding her. She is survived by her children, Rick (Bonnie) - their children, Sarah (Trevor) Hill, Jay (fianc Lizzy Russell), Maggie (fianc Brayden Atwood), and Aaron; and Brett (Carol) - their children, Jesse and Caitlin; and one great-grandchild, Everly Hill. She was beloved by all that met her. She sacrificed for many. She was always helping someone and caring for everyone in her life. She will be missed. Our loss is the Lord's gain. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 7, at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 So. Redwood Rd., in Taylorsville. Viewings will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 6, and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services Friday, both at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity.
