Gayson W. Blight Daddy Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Gayson William Blight, returned peacefully home to our Heavenly Father, June 15, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 29, 1930 to William and Emma Carsey Blight, the youngest of 3 boys, who were raised on hard work & un-dying loyalty to each other. He married his sweetheart, and the love of his life, Bonnie Jean Fleming August 26, 1967 and later sealed in the Jordan River Temple. Together with love, devotion, and incredible generosity, they raised an amazing family. He served in the US Army as a Paratrooper in the 82nd Air-Borne from 1951-54. He is a hero to us all! He spent the majority of his working life as a butcher/meat cutter, and was a true Artist. He loved horses and horseback riding and enjoyed the many adventures with his brothers and family. In his later years he enjoyed playing the banjo & singing in his musical group The Fiddlers. Through the years his many friends & family affectionately knew him as RED. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; children: Sherry (Sherm) Margetts, daughter-in-law; Marci Blight; Kim (Jay) Powell, Tammy (Cory) Hardman, Becky (Bryan) Snyder and Gaylyn; 19 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; brother, Parley (Elaine) Blight; sister-in-law, Francis Blight; and brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Sharon Westberg. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Vern; beloved sons: Craig Blight and William Billy Blight; and grandson-in-law, Nathan Reudter.
