Gene C Weeks Gramps Gene C Weeks, 78, passed away December 17, 2011 in Sandy, Utah. Born July 26, 1933 in Vernal, Utah, son of Wallace L. and Jennie Caldwell Weeks. Married Sharon Berd February 18, 1956 in Evanston, Wyoming. He is a veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean Conflict. Loved the outdoors, especially camping, fishing and being with his family. Volunteered at the South Jordan Senior Center, loved western movies and teasing his grandchildren. Survived by wife, Sharon; son, Brian (Marcia) Weeks; daughter, Terri (David) Pehrson; grandson, John McClure; 6 granddaughters: Candice Hunsaker, Amber Young, Mandy McTiernan, Kacie Dimond, Kayla Applequist, and Samantha Pehrson; 2 great-grandchildren, Christian Hunsaker and Grace Applequist; brother, LaVour Weeks; twin sister, Jennie Penegar and sister, Calla Rae Loveless. Preceded in death by sisters, Reva Richards, Gilda Ward, LaVerne Loveless and Illa Searle. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 22, 2011, 11:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where a viewings will be held Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. and Thursday, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
