Faith “Geneal” Petty Fritzsche passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family, Sunday, March 6, 2022.
Geneal was born December 13, 1935, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Follis Gardner Petty and Mary Marguerite Ford Petty. She graduated in 1954 from West High School in Salt Lake City, where she was a member of the Pep Club. Geneal married Richard Ernest Fritzsche on July 2, 1954 in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Geneal was forever service-minded and compassionate. She held many callings in the Church and in the community; notably, teaching children as Primary President and serving many years in the PTA (Parent Teachers Association) and voting registrar. Geneal sacrificed to stay home and raise three children.
Geneal loved to read, draw, and color. She also wrote stories, poetry and limericks. She supported us through dance classes, singing lessons and sports. She loved her family and friends. She also loved her chocolate and sweets. Mom loved to laugh and always loved a good joke. Her laugh was infectious.
Geneal is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Allen) Anderson of West Velley City, Utah; son, Joseph (Dolores) Fritzsche of Oro Valley, Arizona; daughter-in-law Andrea Fritzsche (Scott) of Phoenix, Arizona; 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Richard Ernest Fritzsche; and her son Scott Thomas Fritzsche.
Special thanks are given to Dr. Stephen Aslami, as well as Canyon Hospice Care, for their tireless, compassionate, and dedicated service to mother’s care and welfare.
