Genevieve Hansen Wilcox returned to her Heavenly Father January 10, 2015 at the age of 86. She was born September 9, 1928 in Monroe, Utah, fourth child of Wilford and Nita Joy Collings Hansen. She attended BYU where she met Blaine Wilcox. They were married April 20, 1949 in the Salt Lake Temple. Gen loved the ballet and opera, played the piano and organ beautifully, and was a voracious reader. She was a talented seamstress and created dozens of beautiful, intricate quilts for her children and grandchildren. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings including a mission with her husband in the California Anaheim Mission. Gen loved the Lord and her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Blaine; daughter, Sharon; sister, Elaine; brother, Reeve. Survived by children: Richard Blaine (JoAnn), Douglas Reeve (Claudia), James David (Connie), Steven Glen (Charmaine), Brian Keith (Wendy), 23 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 17, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where a viewing will be held, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Fielding Cemetery.
