Gerald Francis Crowder 1929 ~ 2012 Gone Flying Gerald Francis Crowder (Jerry the Barber) was born March 25, 1929, in Sioux City, IA to James Hershey Crowder and Helen Catherine Callan. Jerry was raised and attended schools in Elk Point, SD. Upon the death of his parents, he finished growing up in the home of his aunt and uncle, Dr. Earl R. (Mabel) Crowder and attended the University of Utah and Utah Technical College. He served honorably in the 82nd Airborne Div. U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He married his wife of 48 years, Andre Lynne Pedersen Crowder in the Salt Lake Temple June 26, 1964. They have had a wonderful life together raising three children who survive him: Robert (Becky) Crowder, David Crowder and Rebecca Cantwell. Grandchildren who survive are: Daniel, Aaron (Mekenzie), Joshua, Samuel, Jacob and Benjamin Crowder, Alexis Garcia and Ashley and Jordan Cantwell. Also surviving are a brother and sister. Preceded in death by his parents and one brother. His life has been a life well lived and he is loved by many. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 27, 2012, 12:00 noon at West Jordan Park Stake Center, 7400 South 4800 West. Viewing will be held Wednesday, 6-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and again Thursday, 11-11:45 a.m. at the church prior to funeral services.
