Gerald "Gerry" B Kelsch

Gerald B. Kelsch, 75, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, February 24, 2017, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Gerald was born February 18, 1942, in Salt Lake City, UT to Susannah (Sue) Marriott Barlow and Louis Alma Kelsch. He loved growing up in a large family and held his relationships with each family member as a cherished gift. Gerald married Phyllis Garcia in 1967 and raised 5 amazing children. After 30 years of marriage, Gerald and Phyllis divorced, although they remained dear friends. Gerald always enjoyed the simple pleasures of life like coaching sports, talking sports, reading the sports section of the paper and his latest simple pleasure was singing karaoke with all his new friends at Gerald L Wright. However, his favorite times in life were sharing time and memories with friends and family. Gerald is survived by his children Debbie (Wayne), Mike (Dana), Jerry Jr. (Wendy), Lisa, George (Shannon), 14 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren; as well as a large and loving extended family. He is preceded in death by his sisters Sharyn Strebel, Joyce Butchereit; and his parents. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 2, 2017, 2:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where a viewing will be held prior to services from 1-1:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please spend time sharing a memory with someone you love.
