Geraldine Crockett Handy

Geraldine C. Handy 1931 ~ 2011 Geraldine Crockett Handy was born April 16, 1931 in Preston, Idaho to Russell P. Crockett and Therma Odell Hansen. Jerry was a cheerleader and enjoyed drama in high school. Married S. Darrell Handy on March 9th 1951, in the Logan LDS Temple. She passed away peacefully November 23, 2011 with family present. She was a very beautiful, loving & gracious person. She had beautiful penmanship. Jerry worked for many years for Walker and First Security Banks. She also made beautiful prayer rugs for her family. As an active member of the LDS Church, she served many years as a Primary Secretary. She loved her sons and daughters-in-law; Scott (Kathie), Stephen (Wanda), Shane (Kelli); grandchildren and great grandchildren; and sister, Diane Spiesman. Preceded in death by parents; and brothers, Kent and Duane Crockett. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2011, 11:00 a.m. at the Kearns 14th Ward, 4232 West 5015 South. Viewings will be held Monday, 6-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and again Tuesday at the church 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, West Jordan City Cemetery.
