Geraldine Day White

December 26, 1950 — May 1, 2020

Geraldine Day White, 69, of Magna, Utah, died May 1st due to complications from a fall.

Geraldine was born December 26, 1950 in Richfield, Utah to Merrell Clark and Uarda Duncan Day. She was the second daughter of 6 living children.

She graduated from Madison High School in 1969. She met David at a stake dance when he was stationed at Point Loma, California Naval Base. They married May 15, 1971, after he was released, in the Los Angeles Temple. David got a job at KVEL Radio and they started their family in Vernal, Utah. They had their first 5 children. They owned and operated Wimpy's Place in Maeser, Utah. They later moved to Roosevelt, where they ran Roosevelt Bowl and Fun Center. They welcomed their last son while in Roosevelt. In 1992 they moved to Magna, Utah where they bought a home and settled for the next 28 years until present.

Geraldine was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved serving in the Primary for many years, and then leading the music in sacrament, and Relief Society. For the last 2 years, she has enjoyed attending the temple with her daughter and husband monthly.

We will miss her gift of making friends easily and loving unconditionally. She could light up any room with her love and laughter!! She loved TV dinners, NCIS, CSI, romance novels, and of course her children and grandchildren. Geraldine has taken in and loved many others and considered them her kids.

Geraldine is survived by her husband David; brother and sisters and families: Anna Mae (Calvin) Murri, Russell (Gail) Day, Jennifer (John) Spencer; her children: Kristina (Arturo) Flores, Jonathan White, Brian (Megan) White, William White, James White; and also her grandchildren Alyssa, Robert, Katy Hooten, Justine, Virginia, Cheyenne, and CJ White.

Preceded in death by her parents, Merrell Clark and Uarda Duncan Day; brother LeGrande Day; sister Sandra Simental Homan; and daughter Angela White.

A special thank you to Sandie Campbell for being our close family friend and sister, for making mama beautiful throughout the years, and now in death!!

We would also like to thank Avalon West Health and Rehabilitation for caring for and loving our wife and mother for the last 4 years!! When she returned from IMC, she said, "I'm so glad I'm home!!"

Private family services will be held May 7, 2020. Interment, Murray City Cemetery, 5490 S Vine Street Murray, Utah.
