Gerard Anthony Gonsalves In Loving Memory Gerard Anthony Gonsalves died March 9, 2013. Gerry was born January 4, 1926 in British Guyana, South America to Edward Santos and Clementine Pedro Gonsalves. Gerry married Angela Periera January 8, 1949. They had 7 children: Patricia, Patrick, Jacqueline, Errol, Francis, Mark and Edward. He had 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Gerry immigrated to the U.S. April 4, 1970 and made a place for his family. They joined him June 5, 1970. His bravery to go by himself into the unknown gave a wonderful life to his children and theirs and generations to come. He proudly became a U.S. citizen in 1975. Gerry worked for Howe Rents as a heavy equipment mechanic. He retired in 1989. He was a great welder and mechanic and could fix anything. He was always there to help whenever you needed him. Gerry was preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother; 4 sisters; 2 children; a granddaughter and a son-in-law You can rest now, Dad. We ll all be okay, and everyone else can go suck a rock. A viewing will be held Thursday, 11 a.m.-12:00 noon at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road followed by a grave side service, 1:00 p.m. at Mount Calvary Cemetery, T Street and 4th Avenue.
