Gilbert Henry Harris November 17, 1935~ December 14, 2012 Gilbert Henry Harris joined his wife Shirley in heaven on December 14, 2012 after a long & courageous battle with Parkinson s Disease & Emphysema. Gilbert (Gibby) was born in Roosevelt, Utah on November 17, 1935 to Clarence Pamp Harris & Marrel Timothy Harris. He was preceded in death by his brothers Clarence and Don & his sister Leatha. He is survived by his sister Vena (Dunn) & his brother Buddy. He leaves behind 4 sons, Don, Del, Gilbert, Rick & his daughter Lana, who between them all gave him 11 beautiful grandkids & 1 great grandchild. He also leaves behind his partner in crime Sarah, his 7 year old chocolate lab whose devotion saw him through the loss of his wife. Gilbert will be remembered for his easy going attitude & his ability to become the life of the party, no matter whose party it was. He was never shy about making a new friend or defending the ones he had. Special thanks to Spring Creek Nursing Home, Valeo Home Health, & Dr. Elena James for making his last days as comfortable as possible for him. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road. A viewing will be held that morning from 9-9:45 a.m. prior to services. Internment, Lake Hills Memorial Park, Sandy, Utah In lieu of flowers, donations to help with funeral costs would be appreciated.
