Glen Burrell Cox passed away on July 20, 2023, at the age of 87. He was the son of Heber and Gladys Cox. He grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and attended West High School. He served in the Army and was stationed in Germany, where the highlight of his service was painting military vehicles. When he came home he met a beautiful German girl named Helga. They married in 1962 in the Salt Lake Temple and recently celebrated 61 years of marriage. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
From a young age, cars were his passion. He started one of the early car restoration businesses in Utah and called it Cox's Antique Automotive. He was a hard worker and paid particular attention to detail. He participated in and judged the Concours' d'Elegance car show for many years. He lived his dream.
He is survived by his wife Helga (Neumann), his five children Robert, David (Catherine), Michael (Leah), Glenda (David) Robertson, and Dan (Kristine), and 29 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Marlene and Reid Dimond and his mother and father.
A viewing will be held on July 30, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home located on 4330 South Redwood Rd, Taylorsville, Utah. On July 31, 2023 another viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the church before the funeral. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Riverside ward house located on 5200 South Glendon St. (700 West), Murray, Utah.
