Gordon Maurice Bartlett
1938 ~ 2024
Gordon Bartlett, born on July 18, 1938, to Victoria and Maurice Bartlett, passed away on April 29, 2024, at the age of 85 in Salt Lake after battling Dementia. He was a retired general manager in medical device manufacturing and a proud fur-dad to many dogs. He was married to Lorraine Souza, with whom he had two children, they later divorced. He then married Vickie Green and built their life of over 40 years in West Jordan, Utah.
Gordon served in the Air Force after graduating from South High School and loved working on B-52 jet bombers. He was passionate about baseball, both playing and watching, as well as being outdoors whether it was camping, fishing, or hunting but especially spending every available moment in Manila (Flaming Gorge) with country music and wine.
Gordon is survived by his children: Lisa Bartlett, Gina Pola-Money, Jason Bartlett, Steven Green, and his best friend and son-in-law, Anthon Money. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. His sister, Jolene Rasmussen and nephew Kyle Rasmussen, also survive him. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vickie; two grandsons; his parents; two nephews; and his many loving dogs who were patiently waiting for him on Rainbow Bridge.
A graveside service will be held at South Jordan City Cemetery, 10630 South 1055 West, South Jordan, Utah, on Friday, May 10, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home. A celebration of life will follow at the Gathering Place at Gardner Village, 1100 West 7800 South, West Jordan, for all family and friends starting at 3:00 p.m. Gordon's wishes were clear: instead of flowers, please donate to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary or any organization that saves animals who are homeless or abused. The family also suggests donating to the Alzheimer's Association to support research and fight this horrific disease.
