Grant Albert Broderick, our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, died Wednesday, April 30, 2014, in Salt Lake City, Utah, at the age of 88. Grant was born October 12, 1925, to Charles Spencer and Ingrid Nilsson Broderick in Salt Lake City. Grant's father died when he was nine, so he always felt the need to work hard and help support their family. He served in the US Navy from 1944-1946, after which he served an LDS Mission to Sweden. He had a strong testimony of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many positions there. He married Diane Nye in the Logan LDS Temple October 19, 1956, and they have lived in Taylorsville for many years. He was a conscientious worker and retired from Hercules, Inc. (Alliant Tech) in 1989. He liked to work with all kinds of tools and built three houses himself. He is survived by his wife; daughters, Leslee (Dean) Monson and Krista (Robert) Baker; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; sister, Elizabeth Naumu of Honolulu, Hawaii; brother, Heber (Mary Lou) Broderick of Tucson, Ariz.; and all of whom he loved dearly. He is preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Carli. We will all miss his smile and his kindness to all of us! Place of Birth:Salt Lake City, UtahPlace of Death:Taylorsville, Utah
