Gregory J Bugni passed away at home July 22, 2015. Greg was born Feb 1st, 1961 in Butte, Montana to Fred V Bugni and Marcia J Barsanti. He was the fifth of nine children. He married the love of his life, Cathy Marie Jacobsen on June 8th, 1984. They had two children, Casandra and Gregory, soon after. In his work life he owned a car detail business and was a member of the Iron Workers Union Local 27. After 15 years he moved on to welding and steel inspection; most recently opening Greg Bugni's Steel Services and Inspection. Greg was also a volunteer and former president of the Salt Lake County Fish & Game Assn. Greg loved his family more than anything. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing, boating, hunting and camping. He was more at home when he had a line in the water. He was a perfectionist in everything he did from his work to his at-home projects. Greg would give you the shirt off his back. He could and would do anything for anyone. He was preceded in death by his grandma Vic, father Fred, and sister Kelley. Greg is survived by his beloved wife of thirty-one years Cathy, children Casandra (Trent) and Gregory, the apple of his eye grandson Ashton, mother Marcia, brothers Rick and Larry (Ann), sisters Ginny, Marcy, Patty, Michelle, Shauna (Jeff), in-laws Marilyn, Michael, brother-in-laws Todd (Tina) and Gary Jacobsen, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. A service will be held to celebrate his life Wednesday July 29th, 2015 at 6 pm at McDougal Funeral Homes, 4330 South Redwood Rd, SLC. Casual Dress.
