Harold was born September 17, 1932 in Sacramento, California to Albert Clarence and Bonnie Electa Lea Linde. He passed away October 26, 2019 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He married Julie Ann Barker on September 25, 1953 in Anacostia, Washington DC. He graduated with an Associates Degree from Stockton College, Stockton, California in June 1955. They had four children: Harold William Linde, Jr., born 1955, died 1955. Mark Alan Linde, born 1956, Gwen Margaret Linde, born 1958, and James Curtis Linde, born 1963 and adopted in 1966; died 2016.
Harold enlisted in the US Army in 1952 and served honorably one enlistment. He enlisted in the US Air Force in 1956. Harold served as a bandsman until 1969 and an air traffic controller from 1969 until retirement. He completed a one-year tour of duty in Vietnam in 1971 and retired from the US Air Force in 1973.
He bought and ran a small business (Shell service station) in Stockton, California in 1973. He was later a San Joaquin County Sheriff's Department Corrections Officer, retiring in Stockton, California. He moved to Reno, Nevada and then to Salt Lake City, Utah.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Julie Ann Linde in 2003. He is survived by his son Mark A. Linde and daughter Gwen M. Linde.
