Harold Richard Anderson 1922 ~ 2013 Harold Richard Anderson, age 91, passed away October 11, 2013, at St. Mark's Hospital in Salt Lake City. He was born February 14, 1922 in Lehi, Utah, the son of Carl Richard Anderson and Susie Bradley. He graduated from Lehi High School and attended LDS Business College. He married Mildred Smith Ellis in 1955 and helped raise her two daughters. Later in life he re-married Diana Anabo Bybee, and became a part of the lives of her two daughters. Harold was a professional shoe buyer, salesman and manager for most of his life, working for Auerbachs, Joske's, Meier and Frank, Johnston and Murphy, Stride Rite, Huggins Shoes, Amen Wardy and Neiman Marcus. He received many professional awards for his outstanding service. Following a debilitating stroke in 2007 his greatest desire was to return to work in the shoe business. He served as a temple worker in the Los Angeles Temple for four years, and after retirement lived in Modesto, California, and later West Jordan and Midvale, Utah. His greatest service in life was his loving care of his two families. Harold was preceded in death by his father, Carl; mother, Susie; stepfather John Hillier; and sister Geraldine Hinkle. He also lost his first wife, Millie and is survived by his current wife Diana; her two daughters Leisl (Kendall) Simmons and Phoebe (Jeff) Call; and seven grandchildren. He is also survived by his step-daughters Diane (Mel) Weight; and Joylene (Jim) Chipman; 5 additional grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great grandchildren; sister, Jeanne Bond;7 nieces and nephews and their families. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 18, 2013, 12:00 noon at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah where viewings will be held Thursday, October 17, 2013, 6-8 p.m. and Friday, 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Lehi City Cemetery.
