Our father, husband and grandfather, Harrington (Hank) Allen Shea passed away January 11, 2015. He was born May 22, 1924 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Ray Allen and Elsa Reisner Shea. He married Rhea Allen June 27, 1947 in the Salt Lake Temple. He loved his family, friends, gardening, model trains, his animals, and traveling. After graduating from West High School in 1942, he enlisted in the US Navy in a communications program. During the war he served in the Pacific Theater on the USS CURTISS (AV-4) and USS MASSACHUSETTS (BB-59). He returned to SLC and began working for the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad, retiring in 1984. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rhea; son, Steven Allen Shea; parents; and one brother. Survived by his daughters: Christine (Bill) Slach, Wendy Malloy, Claudia (Tim) Jones, Linda (Scott) Seegmiller; and son Severn R. Shea; 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren. We would like to express our appreciation for the personal dedication and loving care given to Hank by John and Craig, the staff of CNS Hospice, during his illness. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 15, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at the Kearns East Stake Center, 4731South 4300 West. Viewings will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2015, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home 4330 South Redwood Road and Thursday at the church, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
