Helen May Nelson

Helen May Nelson "Endured to the End" Born on February 14, 1927, in Malad , Idaho to Robert Marion May and Grace Davis May. She was the fifth of nine children, being born smack in the middle of 2 older brothers and 2 younger brothers. She enjoyed her childhood in Malad, but came to Salt Lake City in 1947. She met her husband, Francis Carl Nelson and they were married in 1950. Their union created 3 children, Thomas (Sharon) Nelson, Sandy (Richard) Johnston and FranCine (Cal) Corbridge. Helen passed from this mortal ministry April 3, 2014 in West Jordan, Utah at the age of 87. She is survived by her husband, 3 children and their spouses, brother Donald Leon May Salt Lake City, sister Wanda (Chet) Hughes Malad, Idaho, 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one on the way. Numerous nieces, nephews. She was greeted at Heavens gates by her parents, sisters, Ruth May, Mable Tufts,Shirley Irvine, brothers, Joseph May, Thomas May, Ira May. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday April 9, 2014 at the Granger Sixth Ward, 3276 South Hillsdale Drive, ( about 2800 West). Friends and family may visit Tuesday at McDougal Funeral Home, 6:00-8:00 p.m., and Wednesday at church 10:00-10:45 a.m. Interment: Redwood Memorial Estates.
