Howard Leon Andrews, age 86, of West Valley City, Utah, died October 9, 2023 of a lingering illness at his home.

He was born July 26, 1937, in Roosevelt, Utah, to Howard David and DeLight Birchell Andrews.

He grew up in Roosevelt, Utah, attending Roosevelt Elementary and Roosevelt High school, and graduated from Union High in 1955. Following high school he studied at Trade Tech, where he learned welding.

He worked as a Journeyman Pipe Fitter welder for many years as a member of Local 140. He was a man of many talents: photography, jewelry making, shooting, flying, and making airplanes to name a few.

He married Jeanine Irene Wendel on January 24, 1973.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanine, son Leonard Ray Andrews, daughter-in-law Yu Andrews and grandson Albert, of American Fork, Utah; and a son David Henry Andrews of Skagway, Alaska; sister Ida (Ken) Alvey of Las Vegas,Nevada; and a brother John David (Carole) of Orem, Utah.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah.
