Irene Johnson Bruun

Irene J. Bruun Beloved Mom & Grandma My name is Irene Johnson Bruun. I was born October 17, 1924 in Monroe, Utah to John Christian and Leona Bredsgaard Johnson, the fifth of seven living children. I married John Theron Bruun October 28, 1944 in the Salt Lake Temple. I returned home August 20, 2013 at the age of 88. The greatest joy in my life was giving service to my Heavenly Father in the Primary, Relief Society and Sunday School, and being the mother of six children: Cheryl Bland, Bountiful, UT; Steven (Shauna), Taylorsville, UT; Anthon (Denise), Taylorsville, UT; Kenneth (Tammy), Orem, UT; Robert, Mesa, AZ; Mary Ann Bruun, Orange, CA. I was blessed with 24 grandchildren; 56, plus 2 on the way, great-grandchildren; and my brother, Rex (Eda) Johnson. I was preceded in death by my husband; parents; 3 brothers and 2 sisters. My thanks go to the staff of South Jordan Legacy House Assisted Living and Debbie and her colleagues of Brighton Hospice. My funeral services will be Saturday, August 24, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where viewings will be Friday, 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
